Welcome to our 2009-2010 dance season. Next Generation Dance Co. looks forward to serving the community. We are so glad you
are here and we are looking forward to another exciting year of learning, hard work, and a huge amount of FUN!!!
Classes begin Tuesday, September 8, 2009.
Registration – A non-refundable registration fee is required per child ($20.00 1st child, $10.00 each additional child).
Spring Recital – The spring recital will be held on June 5 and 6, 2010. Rehearsals will be held June 2 & 3, 2010. The recital will be held
at Parrish Auditorium, Miami University, Hamilton.
E-Mail – Please provide us with a frequently checked email address if possible as we send out important information and updates
throughout the year. It is the quickest and most efficient way to keep everyone informed. If you do not have an email address please
make sure to check the board inside the studio weekly or check with the office to stay up to date!
Inclement Weather – During inclement weather it may be necessary to cancel some classes. Please check your local news stations for
closings. We do update the outgoing phone message at the studio when a decision is made to close the studio and will update the
website if time allows.
Proper Dress – Backstage will be selling dance shoes and clothes in the ballet room during registration. Students are required to wear
proper DANCE attire to ALL classes. NO street clothes or shoes are permitted – Except Hip-Hop; these dancers may wear gym shoes
and comfortable, appropriate clothing, absolutely NO JEANS! Anyone dressed improperly will be asked to sit and watch.
Highway 27 – Millville-Oxford is a very busy highway, so please be careful when you enter and exit the studio. Please enter via the
black pavement. Continue to the small blacktop drive entrance into the gravel lot and park in the designated area. The blacktop is kept
open for faculty and staff. Exit only from the gravel lane. Please be Careful! For additional parking use the entrance next to the
driveway that is used to exit the studio. Please take advantage of the extra parking.
Help!! – We need your help to keep the studio safe and clean. For your safety please keep children from playing in the parking lot. No
one is permitted in the barns and/or fenced horse areas. Parents, remember we are not “babysitters” – please supervise siblings of
dancers at all times. Please NO SMOKING in the studio. There is absolutely NO FOOD OR DRINK, except water, allowed in the
studio, only in the waiting room. Please throw all trash away. The LOST & FOUND is located in the waiting room and outside the
ballet room; please check for your belongings. Items will be donated to charity on a tri-monthly basis. Please place all dance bags and
clothing in the designated areas (ask your teachers). Do not put items at the bottom of the steps.
Payment Schedule – All classes are paid for even if they are missed, this includes snow closures called by the studio. Make-up classes
are offered for most classes; please complete your make-up within one month of absent date. A total of 3 make-ups per year are
permitted. Payments are to be made the by 15th of the month. We will add a $10.00 late fee to each account not paid by the 15th.
Ballet – All ballet students are required to wear ballet shoes in class – NOT JAZZ SHOES. Backstage will be offering a beautiful all
leather pink ballet slipper.
Costumes – Information will be passed out in October. Further information will be forthcoming. Please notify the office if your dancer
will not be dancing in the recital.

Christmas Break – 12/21/09-1/3/10
Spring Break – 4/2-4/8 (*Recital students Only*)
{*Competition Students-We will have class this week, there will be a competition the weekend of 4/9-4/11. We must attend this
competition because it is most likely the Nationals we are attending. A full competition schedule will be distributed soon.}
**If you have to drop or change classes for any reason please notify the studio office or you will continue to be billed. Please do this out
of RESPECT for our staff!!
***We appreciate any comments or suggestions. Please feel free to speak to any faculty or staff worker about any concerns with your
child’s classes, but please NOT during class time! Remember we value each individual student!! We hope you do too!!
